Tällberg, or "Thaellebaerghe" as it was called in 1450, means "The pine-covered mountain." This picturesque village, nestled on the slopes towards Lake Siljan, offers stunning sunsets over the water all year round. In the early 20th century, Tällberg was a typical farming village with around thirty farms, grazing animals, and many permanent residents.
With the railway passing by in 1914, more and more people began to discover this beautiful spot, and tourism quickly became the main source of income. Tällberg transformed from a "farming village" to a "tourist village." Large private houses and summer residences were converted into hotels and guesthouses, and even the village school was repurposed to accommodate tourists.
Today, Tällberg is home to seven active hotels, each with its unique style, three of which are part of the Tällbergsgruppen. These include the romantic Klockargården, which hosts around 40 concert evenings annually featuring beloved artists; the family-friendly Gyllene Hornet, offering plenty of activities and a large pool; and Villa Långbers, situated at the top of Tällberg, focusing on sophisticated gatherings and creative culinary experiences.
